The Community Outreach & Programs Intern provides coordination and communication support across Western Hills Garden’s public-facing work.

Working closely with the Executive Director and in collaboration with the horticulture and development teams, this role supports outreach to schools, hospitality partners, nonprofits, and community organizations; assists with program scheduling and visitor coordination; and provides light donor and administrative support as needed. This role is designed for someone who is organized, responsive, and interested in learning how nonprofit programs, partnerships, and community relationships are built and sustained.

As part of our Emerging Horticultural Leaders Program, each summer we offer 2-3 full-time, paid summer garden internships for students completing a horticulture certificate or degree program who would like an immersive learning experience to add to their portfolio. Onsite housing is available. The internship period is typically from May-September.
