Arboriculture 101 for Homeowners
(Or, What I Wish I Knew About Trees When I Bought My House)
Have you ever brought home a tree from a nursery only for it to die a few months or years later? Or purchased a property with mature trees suffering from sparse canopies or leaning oddly?
Join WHG's Living Collections Coordinator Kat Gritt to learn tips and resources to support your trees' wellbeing, whether you have a new sapling ready for planting or mature trees on your property.
This class is meant to give participants knowledge and techniques to make the best nursery selections, properly install trees, and keep them healthy. Kat will cover common landscape tree issues so that participants are better prepared to make decisions about tree placement and horticultural care for a successful home landscape.
Care techniques will be demonstrated on trees in the Western Hills Garden.
